Hey, Iā€™m Maddy but you can call me Max; a lover of books, travel and design. My favourite projects are those which inspire positive change in the world. I'd love to work/intern for a company who positively impacts the industry with the future of planet and its people in mind.

ENMORE PARK: ENVIRONMENTAL DESIGN & IDENTITY

The task was to create a way-finding system & style guide for a space that would benefit from one. Within the research on the space and audience I was able to find design direction. Upon exploring personas movements and interactions with the parkland and surrounds I decided the vibrant Inner West community would benefit from something just inspired with natural & reclaimed elements with the design being effectively communicated through simple iconography and a bold, enthusiastic colour that stimulates creativity and motivates change.

Burger Lane Illustration for Restaurant Characters

Taking on an illustration subject I was unsure what to expect. The brief called for character and logo creation for a reasonably priced fast food restaurant. We had large parameters to work with so this made research crucial. I took to Procreate with inspiration from the many "Gourmet" Burger Pop ups that were cramming their way into the cities of Sydney and Melbourne and ended up with some quirky characters. A large part of the task was to create a mural with the dimensions of 6mx6m. I decided to drop the rasterized mural image (which depicts The Creation of Adam by Michelangelo) in illustrator and create a vectorised image tracing. This was then used across a range of collateral and packaging.
