Tiff Manual Commercial Renovation - The Rocks Sydney

The client for this hospitality and retail commercial flagship renovation in the Rocks Sydney, was a bright and colourful artist who designs clutch bags, apparel and other accessories. They were looking for a creative art studio, customer workshop space, retail display and larger office space for their growing number of staff. Inspiration was drawn from the iconic Sydney sandstone that was a key feature in the existing building, as layers, lines and textures are built up and worn away over time. The mood for the space needed to reflect this concept of layering colours and textures and the way the artist develops her pieces. It needed to be unique and showcase her work to capture her care and value of bespoke handcrafted pieces. This lead to a bright, bold colour scheme that evokes energy and life. A perfectly balanced clashing of colours, just like her pieces. Utilising lots of hand painted work and not just to showcase the company, but create an experience where customers can appreciate the authenticity of her work. So people can see and feel the layered texture from each thoughtful brush stroke and appreciate that no two are the same. A living art installation experience.

Hospitality and Penthouse Rooftop Space - George St and Martin Place Sydney

This project was to develop a rooftop hospitality community space and residential penthouse right in the heart of Sydney between George St and Martin Place. The foundation of the entire design drew inspiration from the architectural elements of dome ceilings and arches, leading to the incorporation of lots of curves, circles and rounded edges. The mood was inspired by the client to be warm, rustic and intimate. Bringing the outside in and blurring the concept of what is interior and what is exterior. All this led to expansive rounded and curved glass walls with interiors adored with natural colours and living greenery.
